“How
a Broken Promise from my Deadbeat Dad Led me to Create
Income for Life...”
And how it might unlock the money
mystery for YOU…
By Joshua
Shafran
It was December 26 and my father handed me
a check for $125. Turns out he got a holiday “gig”
he wasn’t expecting, so he was giving me the money to
make up for not getting me anything for my birthday or Christmas.
It was a nice gesture.
But I had been there way too many times before…
“Thanks Dad,” I replied. “But maybe you
should keep it, because you might need it more than I do.”
But he insisted. So I took the check. But I never deposited
it. Because after years of broken promises, forgotten birthdays,
and crushing disappointments, I just knew.
It took a few weeks, but
I finally got the
call…
He needed money bad, and he wanted to know if I still had
the check. So I fought back tears and made arrangements to
return it. No big deal. Just another broken promise in a long
line of hundreds.
But this time something
different happened…
Because this time I made a promise to myself. A promise that
I would learn how to get rich – or
die trying. A promise to escape
debt, struggle, and lack. And I also promised myself that
when I had kids—I
would never
make them go through what I had experienced.
Which is why I’m
writing you…
You see I’m a father now. I’ve got a five-year-old,
cute-as-a-button daughter. And I’ve discovered the secrets
of creating financial wealth. Which
I want to reveal to you.
But first, let me fill you
in on the rest of the story…
My father wasn’t a bad man. He loved me in the only
way he knew how. He thought that meant he should be my friend.
At one point he even made me promise that if I ever dropped
Acid – I would do it first with him!
He was a musician you see. But not just any musician. He could
have had it all…
A New York Times critic once called him a “dazzling
trumpeter.” He played or recorded with legends like
John Lennon, Tito Puente, Count Basie, Bob Dylan, The Band,
and a host of others. In fact, he’s probably on some
recordings in your collection right now.
But he lived the musician lifestyle until it killed him about
15 years ago. And with all his experience, and all his talent—he
never created financial security. In fact, he struggled with
money his entire life. And died penniless.
And truth be told, I followed
in his footsteps for the first part of my life. My
desire to be rich turned into an obsession. And not always
with good results. Because when you get into desperation mode,
you’ll believe almost anything.
I tried everything.
Answered every ad in the back of those magazines. (You know
the ones.) Ordered everything I could afford (and whole lot
more I couldn’t) from the 3 a.m. infomercials.
I went to every free seminar that came to town. And found
out they weren’t so free after all, as I ran to the
back of the room waving my credit card to buy thousands of
dollars worth of stuff that promised to have “the secret.”
You name it, I tried it...
Yes, all the legit ones (like real estate investing, flipping
discounted mortgages, direct marketing, stock trading systems,
bi-weekly mortgages, making money on the Net), as well as
the scummy ones that have no way on God’s green earth
of ever working.
Do you recognize any of
these?
Make money from home stuffing
envelopes. Or the one where
this guy is just so swamped with business that he’ll
“hire” you (after you pay him to be “trained”).
Or what about the one with the picture of the sexy woman in
the black miniskirt who said: “Use
Me and Get Rich!”
I even tried the “Secret Forms” deal (that’s
where they were going to teach me how to get these special
forms that every time someone completed one I’d get
paid).
Yeah, I fell for that one.
Like I said, desperation does funny things to your judgment.
And, oh, let’s not even talk about the water filters,
vitamins and magic potion pushers who load you up with tractor
trailer trucks full of inventory. (I probably could’ve
single handedly saved a small, malnourished third-world country
with all the stuff I got loaded down with.)
So instead of breaking free, I was becoming a real chip off
the ‘ole Deadbeat Dad block!
The years of banging
my head against one wall after another and the thousands of
dollars worth of money making programs I bought couldn’t
mask the fact that I was a desperate 27-year-old guy with
a failed marriage, totally alone in a hot, sticky Florida
apartment which I couldn’t afford.
I couldn’t even look myself in the mirror.
Back then, my biggest dream was to get rid of that gut-wrenching
feeling every time the phone rang or someone knocked at the
door. Opening the mail each day was sickening.
Was the phone call another credit card company looking for
my late payment? Was the door the landlord looking for the
overdue rent? How many of those envelopes held another Final
Notice, collection agency threat,
or closed account?
Do you have any idea what’s
it’s like to deliver pizzas in a car with no brakes,
a slipping transmission, and can’t be shut off because
you’re not sure it will ever start again?
All the while hoping you make enough tips to keep from being
homeless and living in that lovely car?
It ain’t fun...
But don’t cry for me, because as you’ve already
figured out, my story
does have a very happy ending.
In fact, once I made the breakthrough I’m about to share
with you, it took less than
19 months to go from a penniless,
deep in debt mooch begging meals from friends—to
having money flood in so fast I had to get extra deposit slips
printed!
Just wait until the
first time YOU write a $63,000.00 check from your personal
checking account without batting an eye.
I have had that feeling.
And you can too. And you know
what? I can trace it all back to that defining moment –
when I gave that check back to my father and made the promise
to myself.
It’s when I made a conscious decision that I
wasn’t going to be the victim any longer. When
I decided that I would do whatever it took to discover the
secrets of getting rich.
Now you can make the
same decision…
Because this letter can be a defining moment for you, the
same way it was for me.
The moment that you decide
that you too, won’t ever struggle with money any more.
The moment you commit – really commit, to becoming rich.
If you are ready to make
that decision – I can help you. For
the last couple of years, I have been analyzing what I did
to turn things around. More
specifically, the actual business process I used to generate
almost $50 million worth of combined gross sales for myself
and my deliriously happy clients.
Like the time I made a Fortune 500 company cry “uncle.”
The sales system I set
up for this telecommunication firm (which took me less than
three days to do from start to finish) swamped them with over
6,200 new customers. It was
so much, so fast, it took them almost six weeks to process
all the business!
Then there was the online business model I helped build in
the health and weight loss industry. My
methods put over 17,000 new customers into this small Internet
start up in a little over 90 days and paved the way for them
to be able to turn down a high eight figure - yes, that says
"high EIGHT figure" (you do the math) - buyout offer
for the business.
Why did they turn it down?
Simple. Based on the cash flow of the business, the offer
wasn't big enough!
Oh, here’s one that is still being whispered about today,
even though I did it in less than 90 minutes, almost four
years ago…
With live TV cameras rolling, I was issued a "Put-Up-Or-Shut-Up"
challenge and went head-to-head selling the same product against
another very savvy marketer with a business base about 15
times larger than mine.
His campaign pulled in about $600 in gross sales, while
mine raked in a fat $7,520.00—for the exact same offer—even
though my list was a fraction of the size of his. And this
was all done on a dare, without any preparation. (Basically
money from thin air, as I am about to reveal to you.)
Now frankly, making $7,000
on a project is actually not my norm;
I usually do better. In fact, these days I won't take on a
project that doesn’t have the potential to put at least
$250,000.00 in my pocket.
The best parts of these
methods are that you can use them to set up consistent cash
flow machines where you do the work once, but they will continue
to deliver several thousand dollars a week....week in and
week out.
You’ll see that it only takes a few of those “little”
deals to put you in a whole new lifestyle. And the best part
is that they continue to generate cash for you even when you’re
spending the day golfing, sleeping, or on a three-week vacation
cruise.
But what I am about to reveal
to you isn’t just capable of making small, steady cash
flow deals. It can also produce the occasional breakthrough
model; the kind that pulls in tens or even hundreds of thousands
of dollars.
